Exploring new techniques and processes.
• Don't Stray Off The Path in The Woods 2018 • Medium: acrylic, Flotrol, glitter & resin on wood. • Size: 60 x 60cm • Status: Lost • 📓 This piece was an experimentation with pouring art/fluid art which was first applied to the gesso coated wooden panel, layers of resin were poured over layered painted elements creating an intriguing glassy surface depth each layer of paint and resin cast shadows on the layers of painting below.

• Starry Eyes 2018 • Medium: Charcoal acrylic, glitter & resin on marbled canvas over wooden panel. • Size: 70 x 40cm • Status: Sold/Private Collection • 📓 Before I discovered fluid art with paint pouring, I was exploring ways to create marbled surfaces on painting supports other than paper. Using the traditional Turkish technique of Ebru, I tried everything I could to get the marbled paint to adhere to my panels, the only way I found I could make it stay was if the surface being marbled onto was porous. After many experiments I eventually discovered I could marble onto the un-gessoed canvas and gesso the canvas afterwards with a clear gesso to seal it. This piece was drawn onto one of these surfaces, the marbled effect created a dreamy light over the whole character, I added chunky black rainbow holographic glitter to the black background and encased the piece in a thick layer of resin, I love the way glitter looks under resin it seems to come alive, its sparkle immortalized.
