Creating art amidst the challenging times of 2020-2021, I found my refuge in the realm of fantasy. My work during this period centred on the enchanting worlds of mushroom fairies and mermaids, where reality blurred and imagination took flight. These fantastical beings became my muses, guiding my imagination as I endeavoured to capture the ethereal essence of their existence, primarily exploring the delicate possibilities of watercolours and gouache. The pandemic served as a backdrop, underscoring the importance of finding solace in creativity. In my small attempt to add a touch of magic to the world, I immersed myself in the delicate balance between nature and mysticism.
